Hi

I have installed a fresh instance of MyBB 1.6.16 on a virtual machine for test purposes.  I want to copy the current forums from our live system to this test system.  I know how to make a backup of the live system.  How do I import that backup into my test system?

Please note that this is not a hosted service, so I don't have cPanel etc.

create a database with no tables (empty db) and import your database backup.

How do I import the database backup?

^ through database manager (eg. phpMyAdmin) available at the web host panel
