Why reinstall? If you suspect files are changed then replace all files. Otherwise export db, drop database, reinstall mybb to new db, import backup.
Would you be able to elaborate on what the syntax errors are? They'll likely be because they're not fully uploaded, the download is okay.
Well there seems to be a syntax error on every single page.
I made sure my db is connected and stuff.
I reinstalled due to my other thread in private inqueries.

Yeah, the files just aren't fully uploaded. If you look at the copy you've got uploaded and look at the end of the file, the code will just end abruptly. If you upload them all again they should be fine. The server may have broken the connection during the upload or something.
I have reuploaded all the files 3 times and still get this error.
/install/ was also broken.
What program are you using to upload the files, and who do you host with?

I have tried with FileZilla and WinSCP
I currently use Alibabahost but it shouldn't be an issue with their hosting as it has always worked perfectly.
