Just a small suggestion for the MyBB forums

How about including the Thank You Mod in the forums, so users can thank other members when they create mods, plugins and themes etc? Its always nice when someone thanks you for the work you've done, it will show some appreciation and keep the MyBB coders feel needed.

I know people can just post a reply saying thank you, buy how many more would say thank you with just one click? Smile
I don't really see that as a necessary feature for this board.

Can I ask why you think that?

Showing appreciation to the modders will only encourage them to do more surely?
Appreciation can be done as easily by posting "thank you". Two words and a button press isn't that hard don't you think?

Missing my point...
Yeah I think It's unnecessary, If you don't want to type in "thank you" Copy and paste mine when you want to say thank you, If you don't want to click "post reply" Push enter Smile
Plus that's what the reputation system is for Smile

No I don't think I am. If people are too lazy to post a simple thank you, then obviously they don't appreciate it enough. Either way there are lots of better and more useful mods that have been made that aren't on these forums. In fact Chris Boulton will never add any plugins to this forum except his own site management one that he custom coded. We don't want or need to deal with errors during upgrades OR any bugs with the plugins.

I think this can be closed now.
