Hi I would like to know if anyone has spare time to update RSS To Post to MyBB Version: 1.8?

I have attempted to update this to version 1.8 standards but my PHP skills is limited. I have read the documentation but haven't made progress.
The only RSS Feed Poster out there at the moment for MyBB Version:1.8 is vbgamer45's RSS Feed Poster v2.0; however, I've read through his plugin thread that HTML isn't being included correctly in posts. I have tried his plugin and indeed it doesn't allow literals such as:
