So,

Yesterday, I just found out that the register was not working due to the username invalidation (I don't know the error for it as it only shows the red line) and every word(s) I tried with the username column, it won't work and won't let me register.

Can you have a test by clicking here to see the problem..

I am currently using the newest 1.8.4 MyBB version and its a new installation.

Thank you so much. The general.js file was changed.

how you solved your problem ...?

Having this exact same issue, however none of the fixes mentioned are helping.

1 - Have run file verification, no changed files. Went the extra step and reloaded general.js from the official package and still same issue.

2 - Switched Cloudflare to development mode to ensure not a caching issue

3 - Running latest version 1.8.7

4 - No custom theme at this point (default install template).

5 - Tried in Firefox and Safari with same result.

Hoping someone here can help!




Edit: Found the solution, figured would post as it may help someone else. The issue was I had Auto Minify on in Cloudflare and RocketLoader (both in the Speed Tab). Once I turned those off, everything began working.
