Full Version: Guests Getting "Max Server Load" message

I will be upgrading our forum to 1.8 from 1.6 tonight. I have a development site where I've been testing and tweaking 1.8 here:

http://www.thesimsdaily.net/dev/

If I am not logged into my account but just visit the site as a guest, I (and others on my admin team) most often get the following message:

I haven't changed guest permissions and I've checked them over. They should be able to view the board. And indeed, there are times when the home page does show up. But most times when we access the page, we get that message.

Also, the guest cannot log in at that point. Nor can they register, search, or access the help pages. This could potentially be a big snaffoo. Smile

The main site (http://www.thesimsdaily.net/) does not have this problem, things are running fine there even when not logged in.

Does anyone have any suggestions for me as to why this might be happening? I'd hate to go through the upgrade to find out I still have this trouble on the other side. Sad

Thanks.

Have you checked the *NIX Load Limiting setting (Server and Optimization Options)?
AHA! Thank you, Devilshakerz! I set that the same as our current forum set-up and it's working perfectly now. I really appreciate the help!
