Hi again

I ask earlier how to hide a forum and was told to use group permissions. I created a new group, but it did not fix the visibility issue, as all user go into the registered group and can see everything, and I need to hide the Restricted Forum from the Registered Group and allow the restricted Forum to see all other forums that are available.

currently

User - Primary Group = registered = see all
User - Primary Group = restricted = only see that Restricted Forum

Require the following:

Public see all except Restricted Forum
Restricted Forum to see all Forums

Solution?

basically we have to put restrictions for the default registered group (group id = 2)
[guests also set with restrictions] & set extra privileges for the newly added (custom) groups

^ permissions are to be set for individual forums (see forum permissions)
