A picture speaks a thousand words


needless to say that I can't say the text.

This happened after I updated from 1.2.2 to 1.2.3

Can you upload a new clean captcha.php
Also reupload the content of./inc/captcha_fonts.

i did. But it's the same illegible text

Probably GD is not configured properly. Check that out with the hosting admins.
Also please make sure that the content of ./inc/captcha_fonts are uploaded in Binary mode. You know from your FTP uploader you can choose the type of transfer (ASCII, BINARY, AUTO)

it worked fine when it was 1.2.2 so i think GD is fine and type of transfer was Binary

Can you delete the captcha fonts folder and try without them?

it works but now it has a terminal like font.

Ah well, better than nothing

did a search on the forum and apparently there are some other people having the same problem but couldn't find a solution..

as you can see the text seems to be there but it's in WHITE COLOR which makes it very unreadable..


things i've tried:

i've tried removing the fonts in the captcha fonts folder, and i do see the text but in very ugly (default server font)

tried making sure the font uploaded via BINARY

so what is it? perhaps there is a setting in my BB for the COLOR of the OUTPUT TEXT? make it BLACK instead of WHITE?
