Hello! What I'm looking for is something like the above - a code that would allow me to have a different layout for each category on the index page. The reason I'm looking for one is that I have a few generic forums that will be used mostly for informative purposes/questions that don't need long descriptions, therefore I don't want them taking up too much space.

I am currently using the "Forum in Columns" resource (http://community.mybb.com/thread-158915.html), but I can't quite figure how to tailor it to each category. I did a search here and on google, but couldn't find much related to this issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I hope the image helps, I didn't want to be too vague. Thanks!

I have also asked for this over a year now, still no solution.

I can tell you how I did it. Though mine was different than what you're looking for. I wanted four columns on the first category and just everything in rows on the second.

Then in the 'category two', I just made new forums, but put the options of category under 'category two'. In the templates to edit them is forumbit_depth2_cat so you can change the way it looks there.
