how can I incorporate in my forum functionality support as in this forum?

^ of course, yes. you can change its compatibility and try using it.

there is a lot of template changes from 1.6 to 1.8 and a lot of modifications has to be done to the plugin to make it work without any errors... check these threads to get some info about installing it on a 1.8 forum
