hi i not used mybb for an while but i know there used to be an plugin you could send an pm to an user when they joined dose that one still work in mybb 1.8

i need to be able to send an pm or email to users when they join as i need them to follow an few steps once they have joined my board

 also  i need it to work if an if an admin adds an user in the acp as well

Mybot is one of the best for sending a private message to a user when thy joined forum .

you must install jonescore if you want to use this plugin .

There is another plugin called welcome pm & email you can use this plugin on mybb 1.8.x by changing compatibility to 18*
