Is there a functionality which enables us to edit the ACP templates, like we do in the front-end? I know we can edit the CSS, but I'm looking to edit a few lines of the markup.

What do you mean? ACP templates don't exist at all. Pages are created by calling multiple functions (for example https://github.com/mybb/mybb/blob/featur...s_page.php and https://github.com/mybb/mybb/blob/featur..._table.php) or echoing code directly.
