I have set the compat flag to 18* and enabled the plugin, which doesn't give any errors. I also set all the options, but that's as far as I get :/

"checked the usergroups"... A few hours later, I think I understand what you mean... I checked it all a few days ago, making sure admin group had all rights needed, same for user admin. So I don't feel the problem lies there... Or there are options I haven't found yet :/
So I'm still open to suggestions : )

Strange! As soon as a user is registered, they cannot access the chat page any longer; I just tested with a fresh account. Might also be related to my *other* permissions problem (for Purge Spammer & Mark Board Read).
Sigh - gonna re-check all them permissions... Probably something very basic I'm overlooking :s
