Most people use forum software to have a community with forums, sub-forums, threads, posts, discussions, etc...
Have you used forum software for other purposes?
I'm currently using MyBB to host a stand-alone
arcade (because we converted the forum to XenForo & XF doesn't have a good arcade plugin at the moment, plus I didn't want everyone to lose their scores).
I completely removed all forum-related aspects from that MyBB installation and it functions is solely as an arcade. It was a fun little side project for me and I was just curious if any of you have ever gutted a forum just to use it for alternate, non-traditional reasons?
Well I'm currently using MyBB with a mix of plugins for a Rap Battle website as seen here:

MyBB is definitely a great software not only for forums.

May I gently nudge us back on topic, thanks.
My pertinent question is why do you use forum software for things other than forums?

For my own site, I wanted community to be the core aspect of the site, but I also wanted supplementary functionality. Was able to accomplish most of what I wanted using xThreads.
