Is it possible to make a thread only possible for OP to reply?

However, it's in same forum/section with other threads where anyone can reply.

Basically, I want to host AMA (ask me anything) type conversations amongst other "normal" threads" in the same section. I don't want to have the AMA threads in their own sub-forum/section.

Is this possible?


I know there is options in "permissions", but this permission sets it for the whole forum section right? I want to set it just for SOME threads.

Lock the subject.
If your OP are administrators or moderators, they can reply to the subject.

OP's are not mods or admins. Don't want AMA hosts to have those type of capabilities.

Basically I want to restrict "competitor AMA's" hijacking the thread, so as not to take anything away from the host.
My wording was a bit off, as users need to be able to reply, apologies for that.
Think I've worked it out though. Cheers.
