does any one know if it is possible to have a live running duplicate of my forum to use as a test forum...


so i can make changes and updates ect on the test one then when im happy there is no bugs ect transfer it over to the live forum.

You mean two different installations of MyBB with the same database?

You can also install a webserver program on your own computer to test things out before you upload it to your webhost.

I recommend following Dennis' suggestion.

Take a snapshot of your production database (look into mysqldump) and restore it on your development box.
