How could I add a small bio of the team? Either grabbing from their profiles or manually entering one? Just an additional line that shows their real world occupations beside their usernames possible

The easiest way would be to edit the forum team template, if you don't mind manually entering the descriptions and if you're using template conditionals to check which members are being shown. The templates are as follows:
- showteam
- showteam_moderators
- showteam_moderators_forum
- showteam_moderators_mod
- showteam_usergroup
- showteam_usergroup_user

Cheers. Found a plugin that will do a bit of it for me. Descriptions still manual but will do for now until I have a look at your suggestion
