Hi,

I was using Mybb 1.6, upgrading to 1.8.

Before, the long URL in a post where reduced :
https://scontent-cdg2-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hph...e=560AC5A3

displayed as :
https://scontent-cdg2-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hph...e=560AC5A3


Is is not working anymore since the upgrade...

Is there an option I need to activate ?

I don't think that automatic URLs have ever been shortened, only those with [url] tag. Feel free to post it in 1.8 suggestions though, I agree they should be shortened too.

EDIT: nvm, they probably were. But I don't know why they aren't now. I'll check some recent changes.

You're right, it's a bug caused by this commit: https://github.com/mybb/mybb/commit/ad84...cac096f3c1 Before applying it all links were shortened except those where the option was set to 0 (so only in printthread.php) and after no links are shortened because the option is never 1.. Kind of weird that noone has noticed it until now BTW.

EDIT: created an issue: https://github.com/mybb/mybb/issues/1995, moving the thread to bug reports and marking as pushed.
