MyBB Community Forums

Hi guys,

I have not yet set up a MyBB board.  I have been using other boards and have had little luck with avoiding spam.  Using captcha only goes so far as there seem to be a lot of people who do nothing but troll forums, register normally and then post spam.  I have had my boards set so that I have to authenticate all registrations, but that doesn't really help much as I don't know if the person registering is a spammer or not.

I would like to upgrade my current forums to MyBB and I know this is a general question, but what can be done using MyBB to avoid this problem - or is this just what we have to live with in today's world?

MyBB has registration security questions feature which can be effectively used to prevent the spam bots
as you have already said, human spammers cannot be easily avoided and we have to deal with them separately ..
