on shared hosting I do not have access to modsecurity logs and therefore I cannot know if any user is being blocked due to false positives.

so is it recommended to disable modsecurity ?

If you don't disable it, problems can sometimes occur when posting new threads or replying to threads. You can attempt to bypass it using .htaccess.

If you're on a shared host you probably won't be able to disable it through .htaccess. Contact your hosting provider and request mod_security be disabled on your account
