I know this might seem stupid but I have some newbie questions

1.   is there a plugin I can download from this site that will alert all my users everytime a new post, forum, thread, basically anytime something is posted? 


2. what is the best plugin to post a video in a new post, forum, thread so that the video will stream from the forum.

2. You don't need a plugin for this. There is a button to add a video link which will be embedded in the post.

I appreciate it Ben, I was looking at myalerts but for some reason I thought it said it had to be downloaded via Github and I do not currently use it. I am about to do an upgrade from version 1.8.0 to 1.8.5 and when I do I want to add on the myalerts.
