trying to get shoutbox 2.0.1 to work with the forum. but to no avail
think its something to do with updating themes..
anyone shine any light?

I'm alittle confused by the instuctions - are we meant to overwrite all the 'default' images where necessary with the ones shipped with Black Rose? I've had a look at some other themes and the instructions talk about a folder in /images with the name of theme.
Also, is the .xml file meant to be MyBB Default-theme.xml?

I've managed to successfully install it - turns out I had forgotten to type the name of the theme in the 'Custom Theme' input box.

I decided to just change the xml setting - ie. reverting back to the original display

p/s: There was a small typo for valign="middle" for one of the first table td cells. I also defined the width of the 3 columns but they can be removed/changed.

Yup I just noticed that too. I'm currently trying to figure out if this can be changed in the admin section; or to just define a css class for either smalltext or pagenav to use white font.
EDIT: You can edit it just through the admin cpanel. Find the Themes box -> Modify ->Black Rose to edit the style. Scroll towards the botton of the page until you see the table called 'smalltext' - set the font colour to e.g. #fff
