how do you get the portal script to run outside the forum folder i have got my forum in a folder and i want to make the portal the main index file and use the same theme in the root folder thanks in advance

Not shore if I understand what you mean,,, do you want portal.php to be the landingpage, so when ppl enter yoursitename.com they come to portal, or do you want to use the forums graphic (theme) also on sites that has noting to do with your mybb forum?
If it is portal as landingpage, that should bee answered in here before, so just search for portal landingpage
