^ well, you can add margin-top: -18px; style property for #panel in the global.css of the theme

(edit global.css through admin panel & edit in advanced mode.
remember hard refreshing browser (eg. press CTRL + F5) after saving changes to global.css)

how about to move it to the right so it covers the space there....... sorry if am bothering
