I am new to mybb 1.8 series, used mybb before two years ago.The admincp template editor seems updated with enhanced styles.
But I would like to use the normal textarea style as the current style does not supported by my browser.The content inside the textarea is shown out of the box and unable to edit.
I am attaching a screenshot of the issue.
Is there anyway I can edit the admin cp template page without using template editor.

This does not look like the normal template editing screen. Do you use a style from 1.6 perhaps?

check if below setting solves your issue
forum admin panel home page >> (left side menu) >> preferences >> Turn on / off Code Mirror --> select off and save preferences

The Code Mirror was turned on.The issue is solved by following the above method.Thank you
