Since you are running on an old version of mybb, upgrading to 1.85 should not be a bad idea, and hopefully your problem is fixed in the upgrade. You would need a new theme thou,,, since 1.6 themes not works on 1.8x

but how do i go about upgrading that? again i didnt set it up and i cant access the admin section..Not the way i used too..

Admin CP --> Templates & Style --> *expand your template set* --> Footer Templates --> footer
