I apologize, I'm a bit new to this stuff so if I ask stupid questions, be gentle :Smile And thank you in advance for the assistance.

I am trying to place images on either side of my forum (see image).  I cannot seem to locate the style sheets in which this would be adjusted.  Can this be done?  If so, how?  Thank you once again.
will that be one single image or two different images on either side... have a look at this reply as well...
Ideally, I'd use two different images.  I will endeavor to read up on the post you linked to.  It seems, however, that the reply you indicated refers to establishing a background (which I've got already) but doesn't clarify how to separate the page into three distinct backgrounds.  Perhaps this isn't possible?

Or do I simply use that code three times in "body" with different settings to place three backgrounds?
here's one working example i managed: https://jsfiddle.net/mmadhankumar/1koqb7zf/ Smile

Ok, I'm not all that sure how to put that in, but I will explore and mess around with it to see.  Thanks a bunch!

Well, I've got the CSS part down, but having a hard time figuring out where to put the HTML - in what template.

Yeah, I give up.  Where do I put that HTML?  In which template?

The main forum containers/wrappers are in the header template.
Are these images for advertising? Why not just create or add a image background for your site?
Got it, thank you. It works now.

No, it wasn't advertising Smile
