Made the upgrade to 1.8. I used to have this plugin for tracking forum hits. However, I can't find a 1.8 compatible plugin. Is there one available?

Also, for anyone who has experience with the linked plugin, where might I find the data containing the number of hits? I'd need to transfer that number into whatever 1.8 plugin there is. A quick look through the database gave me no indication as to which table it might be in, so either it is in a table without an obvious name, or it is stored as a file.

It seems like you're good to go after changing the compatibility value from 16* to 18* (line 27 of the plugin file).

The hit number is stored in a hidden setting (hit_counter_hits in the mybb_settings table).
