So here's a rather unusual situation I seem to be dealing with...
If I load up the forums and look through some threads, I will see the stars under each user. You know, the ones that vary if you are an admin, mod, normal user, etc. As soon as I do a full edit of a post, or make a new post in a thread, the images disappear, and are replaced with an asterisk (which I assume to be the ALT value of the star image when the image is missing). The images reappear after several hours, but until then, they aren't there.
What could be causing this? I can't be missing the images from my server, otherwise I wouldn't be seeing the images initially, and afterwards.
Running 1.8.5 on a private network. This issue is cross-browser for multiple users.
