I'm evaluating forum software. I'm looking for something like MailMan meets MyBB (or whatever). I think I want this: every user, by default, is subscribed to every thread. (And could unsubscribe from individual threads, or from entire forums, or change to a weekly digest.) It's a small group with low traffic.
Can I do this with MyBB? It looked like the answer is "no", but I wanted to make sure. (And I don't want to make my own mods.)

Yes, I could see that. But I was hoping for a default of subscribing to all threads, not just ones to which the user had posted. (including all new threads.)
I seek more of a mailing-list-manager married to a forum. (Or even MailMan with better archiving.) But that default would probably fill the bill for me.

Currently, MyBB does not have a "mailing-list-manager" feature for replies to all threads. I'm sure a modification can be created for you, if you post a modification request in the "Code Modifications" forum:
