Hi everyone,

Recently my hosting decided to quit out of nowhere, without a warning.
So all I had was a sql backup, more specific, sql.gz back ups.
Now I can not import this file towards my database, because I get the following error:
#1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '?' at line 1

Anyway how to fix this? The adminlog column does get imported though.

Kind regards.
Dit you try to restore the database tables from phpMyAdmin?

My apologies for the late reply.
I've tried doing so, which resulted in it not working either.
It's compressed and I can't open it with Sublime text either.

Can't you uncompress it then?

How large is the file?

8.01mb.
I sadly can not uncompress it, winrar says it's corrupt, so does gzip.
I fear then this is the end. I do not know of software that can repair corrupted .gz files.
A lot of data to loose. You cannot get in contact with the old host?

A lesson perhaps, go for a trusted host. Prices are not that high!

I can't, they claimed to be hacked and then went offline.
They don't reply on skype nor twitter.

Thanks anyways.
