Hi,

today I tried to do the upgrade from version 1.6.2.

I backed up the files in the forum directory and performed a backup of the database (directly from my provider, not with the admin cp)

on upload I had problems on a few .css files that would not be replaced, after deleting them manually on the server I was able to ftp the complete package.
Now, when I try to run the /install script I get nothing than a blank page.

what's the best way to get the forum going again?

does your web host panel consist of error log ?
if it does then check latest entries in the log to find the cause for the blank page

and you can try running the upgrade script directly (~/install/upgrade.php)

I just PMed you the error log, when I try to run the script directly I also get a blank page

The Problem appeared to be within a certain db password combination, I had used the $ sign, meanwhile the $sign in passwods is not allowed by my provider any more.
I had changed to % , thats where the blank page probl. started, after I found out I changed to a zero instead, all was fine again , I installed the upgrade, all appears to be working again.
