Is it possible to keep the birthday system, but disable the birthdays from showing up on the calendar?

If no, is it possible to just disable the birthday system altogether such that they don't show up on the calendar?

FYI: I do have the birthday system disabled in the admin settings page (selected 'No' to Show Birthdays, but they are still showing on the calendar)

Configuration ->Calendars (left column) -> Choose Calendar ->Show Birthdays? set to No.

How to make reaper the Today's Birthday row in the down of the index page?

In Configuration ->Calendars (left column) -> Choose Calendar ->Show Birthdays?  I set set YES, but nothing changes. Mybb 1.8.10 Link  On Configuration setting - Calendar is enable.
