Can I point my cname to mybb

Not to be rude but this is a simple question that should be answered by someone pretty quickly I just need an answer for this as it's pretty fustrating to setup my website

Your question doesn't make any sense, actually. How and why do you want to "point CNAME to MyBB"?

A CNAME is a DNS entry. Yes, it can be pointed to a MyBB site but it has to be on a resolving domain first -- IE: if you're hosting a blog on example.com and you want to run a forum on forum.example.com and it is the same server/hosting account/IP, then you would use a CNAME to point to it.

Then, when you move you have one record to update, not two.
