A Portal page that you can set to be active all the time and have blocks that can be customized to use left right and top and bottom.

Example have a drop down menu with block options like resent post and new post. users online and custom php and html boxes.

also be able to set the portal page to show blocks on or off based on the area you set.

This would really make the forum even better.

As much as I would love to see an extensive portal....I don't think it's anything the dev team will ever do. It's been asked a million times and the answer is always the same: mybb is a forum not a cms.

I really think we will be removing the portal, but it should be easier to write a plugin to provide such a feature.
