MyBB Community Forums

This is my first experience into any form of setting up MyBB , so please be gentle

I uploaded my files to my webspace (/htdosc/forums folder) and changed permissions as stated.

After browsing to  the Install folder I get this error ..

Parse error: parse error, unexpected ')', expecting '(' in /tier-11/pwpstore4/3/REMOVED/htdocs/forums/install/index.php on line 209


Note: I have edited out my username in the path

Hmm... I can't see why that error would be thrown for 209. The code looks perfectly fine and the parentheses match, from what I see. Have you tried downloading a fresh package and replacing install/index.php ?
