hi guys.. having some serious issues with a new forum i am trying to install. i also have no clue what i'm doing so any help with small, gentle words is greatly appreciated.

mybb v. 1.8
problems:
1) in the "new thread" page, the toolbar options (italicize, bold etc) are all just written out. no images. nothing. not even sure they work. it also takes up the entire "my message" section". how do I get this to look like a normal functioning toolbar?
2) "my message" section in the "new thread" page is basically non existent. I'm attaching one picture of how it actually appears hidden until you click int he right spot, and then there is a tiny line you can write in and not see anything you're writing. how the heck do I make this a normal size?
3) same issue as both above issues but on "post reply" page.
4) much less fundamental issue here... just want to add a link to the menu bar to link back to my main site.
5) lastly, almost nothing works in Safari browser, can't log in. can't complete registration form. random images missing. have no idea whats happening...
once again, I really have no idea what I'm doing so as DETAILED and DUMBED DOWN as possible will be extremely helpful. thank you all so so much!
