Are the details different from those you use for your e-mail client as with me?

they sent me those details :
SMTP hostname: srv67.hosting24.com
SMTP port: 465
SMTP username, SMTP password: your login credentials as your email account's.

OK, apparently this can differ per host. With me it was a different hostname, port, no password and no encryption. The only thing that did not change was the username.

It is very strange that PHP mail does not work, because that requires no settings at all.

Perhaps someone else still has suggestions.
