I'm sure this has been asked in the past but doing a search came up empty.

What is a good way to set up categories and forums. I like the way it is done here with different sections and then the forums in them but not really sure about how to do this. What is a category vs forum vs topic? Is there a page on the main site that explains all this?

I had wanted to set something like this up:

Website and Forum:
      Website Help
      Website Ideas's


Making Biochar:
        Earth Pit
        55gl TLUD
        Paint Can



Charging Your Biochar:
         Organic Compost
         Store Compost 
         All Other Ways

The Back Porch:
         Off Topic
         In the News
         Your neck of the Woods

Add a category
Add forums to the category

Add a category
Add forums to the category

Add a category
Add forums to the category


And there you have a structure

Took me a while to figure this out. I did not see the forum/category radio button!
