How can i add a "+" by the thread that i have posted in and say "Contains Posts By You"

That's a modified version of the current thread legend icons of MyBB.

You just need to replace the current image with the image you want.

You can find all the thread legend icons in the "images" folder, and then, search "folders_sprite.png".

But how will it know if you posted in it?

Because you have a different image for each status. In the default thread legends, you have a black dot, but in the image you show, they put a "+" instead of the black dot.
