Alright so I edit the inc/settings.php file specifically this line of code 

$settings['bburl'] = "http://aerialdevs.com/forums";

I changed http://aerialdevs.com/forums to http://aerialdevs.com/forum and changed the name of the folder to forum in the website directory, however after doing so, I can still log into the Admin CP but I can't log into my user for the forums. How do I fix this?

cookie settings should be also changed along with bburl change & the folder change

first required changes should be done in the settings.php file
and then at Site Details (in Configuration - Settings) of forum admin panel
