Since upgrading to mybb 1.8 my users and I have found the auto inserted quotes in the private messages to be very difficult to work around, especially on a phone.

Is there anyway I can disable this feature so it doesn't automatically quote the PM's?

admin panel >> Templates & Style >> Templates >> your theme templates >> Private Messaging Templates

find and remove {$message} in private_quickreply template and private_send template
