^ can you give link of that gray theme - looks like it is not compatible with MyBB 1.8

Return to default theme and check whether templates

postbit_classic are unchanged (open template set

Most probably .m. is right, and it is because of a non-compatible theme. You can try the above to check wheteher it runs OK with the default theme.
Have you got any suggestions of a dark theme with nice icons, because im not that good with banners so the backgorund of banner bit has to be one colour so like black so i make the colour black so it blends in like another one

Not more than the themes in the link that .m. has given. Perhaps someone else will have a suggestion.
