Going on your test thread I'll guess your meaning some kind of highlighting code tag.
We did eventually manage to get PHP tags working in RC4 which highlighted PHP code, but then we found it added a lot of load time to thread pages in which the tags had been used, so the tags were disabled again.
I'm not sure whether they will return in Gold, I think probably not. However, be assured that if the PHP highlighting tags are removed from Gold, I'll probably release a small code mod instead, so as anyone who really wants to use the tags can do, regardless of how it may affect page loading times.
