I noticed this error quite recently but it did not seem to happen at first. I had come on my forums to use the shoutbox and no messages appeared. I typed a message and refreshed the page and my message dissapeared as well. I clicked on the archive and it showed all the messages that were being said. If someone could help me with my messages showing back up I would greatly appreciate it and will give any information necessary. Here are my forums defiantgaming.co

I would suggest re-installing the plugin.
If you have made any style changes to it, remember to back those up before you re-install.
