looking in file verification member.php is still showing as changed.

Hmm, I don't know why its saying that, I reuploaded member.php directly from the mybb1617.rar.

but you are using 1.8. try uploading a 1.8 file

OMG now I know why it broke, because I downloaded a 1.6 plugin which replaced member.php without realising that it was a 1.6 plugin. Thanks for all the help leefish! <3

Sorry for my bad English, I have a similar problem. New users can't register. Name of user and captcha appears in red, as if would be wrong...
I have verify arvhives and all it,s ok, I deactivate mods and noboby happens...
Can anybody help me?

Ireth, as your problem is not the same at all it is better if you create a new thread. Check if this problem occurs using the default theme. If it works then your issue is a template problem.
