I'm having a problem with emoticons not showing up on a forum we recently set up. After reading a few threads on this site I've discovered that it's to do with the installation which has the images as png not gif, but it's not really clear of the best way of fixing it.

Should I be manually updating the files to the correct the image references to the png ones that are on the site, or should I be uploading the gif versions of them?

If it's the latter is there anywhere I can get these from?

Cheers
I see wink.gif. in the post - have you tried clearing your browser cache?

Thanks - I literally realised as I posted that message that I could grab them from this forum, so just tried uploading them to see if they worked.

So problem solved!

Although I'm still missing a few from the post icons which aren't on this forum (video, shocked, rainbow, music, brick) - anyone know where I could get hold of those?
There is only one instance of a smilie on that page from looking at the source. Have you tried clearing your cache?

Edit: ninjad
It's now only a couple of the post icons that are missing, such as the 'shocked' one seen here: http://www.liverpoolforums.co.uk/forum-4.html
If you don't want to upload the .gifs, you are going to have to make some template edits.
