Is there any reason portal.php is using this much of the CPU (and crashing the server):

Hopefully it can be fixed, cos it will play quite an important part of our forums.

This has been reported a few times but I could not find any posts regarding a n official fix for it but try changing the query as noted by Malcom: http://www.mybboard.com/community/showth...40#pid9840
