I have a MyBB database, dating back from MyBB 1.1.4 or 1.1.5 I can't quite remember, and want to be able to access it restore it and use it as part of of a MyBB 1.2.3 board.

Will just running the upgrade or install script for 1.2.3 allow me to access the DB properly?

You need to install MyBB 1.2.3, restore the database, and run the upgrade script
