Well... everyone forgets that if it's phpBB it loses by default. XD Taking almost 2 years to upgrade to the next major version, without updating a thing in the meantime, means they lose by default.
Two years is allot of time. If a company doesn't release new feature users will soon lose interest.

Well it's not like they weren't doing anything for the past 2 years. They have made some advancements in phpBB.
The best line from that would be MyBB is like vBulletin’s younger brother.

Yeah, but they weren't
public for the longest time. That's why I gave up on phpBB way back when I first started and switched to IPB1.31.
Then eventually found SMF and MyBB.
MyBB is the best free forum software around!
